Maybe a warning next time in the header...something like pics may offend some viewers.......

Nice... a brand spanker...... plenty of things to make it prettier....... not all are as ugly as the last girl picked for a dance.

I conceede....that is a good looking donk.....dropping the coils off and changing the Rocker cover plates. I am always a sucker for an 8 Stack. Well done.

gjkrv8 03-29-2013 06:20 AM

Well done Ben. Did you get the accessories as well?

Dimis 03-29-2013 07:28 AM

Here's normally where I tell you are a goose for not choosing a ford engine, and that I still see good in you young Ben :p

But the truth is, she's going to slot in quite nicely into that cobra of yours.
Congrats on the new heart, may she beat strong and hard for you for many years of happy and safe motoring!

Now off to Yoda I march, this blue oval Jedi needs extra penance for suggesting such a thought!

Mother 03-29-2013 10:39 AM

Well, blue oval masters, and crusader nights, each have their own sound. I think that I prefer the old style look. For me, 4 barrel Carbs are easier to look after. Its a wee bit of a pain to set up the two fours. But, the main hassel is that Ford Parts are more expensive to Hot Rod. You get what you pay for. I am also not fond of all the computers you require for EFI management. Too many extra wires, fuel rails, a return line needed, plus the additional need of electric (un-reliable) fuel pumps.

Ride on "Crusader Night!" May the force keep you safe. That and Lady Luck!

Hey I thought Donk was that wrestler who was in the bar in "Crocodile Dundee". Can someone translate?

Just need to make up some new valve covers now.

Wazza 03-29-2013 06:43 PM

Not the prettiest engines in their standard form.....all I could think of was "covers"

if someone was smart they would make lsx covers with a ford badge on them hehehe
one thing i can say is that u rarely see a forrd motor in a holden or chevy
but always see a gm motor in a ford hehehe
they are the biggest selling motor in the world

Hi Gregg, no accessories yet, going through the motions and reading (a lot!) about the different drive belt lines, PS pumps and alternator setups available....
