Cobra Sign for Sale

It occurred to me that someone - most probably in the CCCQ - might like to have this for their garage/shed? I am thinking about $60.00 and I could arrange delivery at a Club breakfast. It steel and aluminium and is 56cm across.

Cheers,

Merv

Rog246 04-14-2013 05:08 PM

I'm happy to report that the "Eagle has landed" or rather for those who can decipher Portuguese "de-capelo has a new den" I repeat " de-capelo has a new den".

Now all we need to do is move into our new place, so I can put it up. :)
But unfortunately, that wont be happening for a little while yet

Many thanks Merv, who was more than happy to do the deal and kindly send forth to me on a simple forum exchange (handshake deal so to say).

Merv
Just curious...........how did you go with the sale?

Merv and Sharon 04-19-2013 03:24 PM

Hi Greg - all good. I assume you mean the car not the sign :). Car sold in 3-4 weeks. At any point in time there are probably about 10-12 people across Australia looking to buy a Cobra for that sort of money and have the cash and travel time to do so. They are not like Mazdas when it comes to selling ...

Had about 4 serious buyers - surprisingly all only wanting a Ford motored Cobra - and it went to a very nice home in Cairns with a father and son as the new owners up there.

Very fortunate to sell your Cobra and I have no luck is selling my C4 corvette Rag top which is a safer / better car for less money.
Plenty low ballers on various well known car websites.

Yes what these cars are worth to us is not always the same as what they are worth to another buyer. In most ways classic/vintage cars (MG, Healey, Merc, Porsche, etc.) with history and originality are easier to value.

Supply and demand

I guess MG,Healeys etc....are limited numbers,
Cobras are not.
For every new Cobra that hits the road, has to make selling one even harder!
Soul.

Great news Merv.

That give us all a bit of confidence I guess......esp the Ford guys:)

It's sorting thru all the dreamers and tyre kickers that I hate when selling, then the worry of theft as well.

Hope you're enjoying your new toy!
