DRB Mamba

Any members here got a DRB Mamba kit? Thinking about buying one. I like the solid axle rear end cars.

Rossba 05-02-2013 03:14 AM

Mine is a DRB but I don't know what a Mamba kit is.

Yep! google DRB Mamba and it will show you a Cobra with solid rear axle and A9X front end

Mrs flatchat 05-02-2013 05:28 AM

"Mamba" is a very venomous fast moving South African snake

They are a good tough kit -- with 20 years experience %/

I thought the mamba was a dance.....lol
Do you reckon you could squeez a 9inch in it's rear end?
Is this the only rear solid axle car available? I have always liked DRB mainly because they hang all the panels for you....i hate fibeglass work.

its Rumba -- Mamba is a dance for people with a hair lip

Plenty of the 9" out there --unless you're putting out 600HP, ye old BW 8" is plenty and lighter as well
The whole car will only weigh around 1000kg

Very similar to mine yes but with a few changes.

Rear end is located with trailing arms and coilovers mounted differently, and a Watts link setup.
Re engineered to suit LS engines / boxes with the guards flared to suit wider rims. I think they are lighter than the original ones also.
A9X front end with coil overs etc, vaccuum formed composite body....

Proven fast......

Rossba 05-11-2013 12:53 AM

mine is a 9" solid with torana front end

albanycobra 05-11-2013 11:58 PM
