ADR question

Just wondering if the UK and European E marks on there headlights or other lights you buy from Europe comply to our ADR's when going to engineering.Found a nice set of reverse lights that have the E mark and are like a black altessa look.Ford Focus Chrome Lexus Style Rear FOG Reverse Lights Pair | eBay

If its a legit e marking it should be fine.

The thing to watch out for is if the car is LHD they may point in a different direction. Some lights have arrows on them. Also light colours can differ between Australia and other countries.

Would be worth reading through the ADR and checking for obvious things like colour.

Also check whether your engineer will want a copy of the testing certification for the e mark. If so, or you just want to play it safe, make sure you can get a copy of it before purchasing the lights. Sometimes this is difficult to obtain.

And make sure it will meet the angle and visibility guidelines when fitted to your vehicle.
