Yep unfortunately finishing off the house reno's are a priority at the moment. 7 people and one toilet aren't a good match.

I did take the cobra for a spin down Bulli pass on the weekend. I used to drive up and down there all the time thinking it would be great in a cobra....it was :)

Got told on the weekend there are over 70 entries now for the Nationals. Looking good.

Kimbo 09-16-2013 07:38 PM

We don't actually have 70 yet, but if everyone enters that has committed to entering, we will get to 65 or 70.
It will be first timers that have not yet entered that we don't know about that will add to this number.

The entry deadline for The 20th Cobra Nationals has now been extended to the end of September - this is when we need to confirm the numbers for meals etc.
Any entries received after this date will not have a guarantee that meals are able to be provided.

We are keen for as many entries as possible and are happy to take entrants that would fall into the "others" class so if you know anyone interested, ask them if they would like to enter.

I was going to drive down to Sydney end of next week since my boy has school holidays and I have to babysit him but I now have to help get another cobra running for the show
will be a busy week next week

If Absolute Pace keep selling new cars and helping to sell older ones it'll be a full house of cars and newbies next year. I've never seen or heard of so many cobra transactions occurring in such a small space of time.

It'd be advantages to get the gee up going a little earlier and louder next year... it'd be great to see more than just the regular folk from QLD coming down and enjoying the event....

Perhaps, to help with commitment of numbers next year the club could float the idea of a good $ incentive to those who book in and commit early (say early August for example)...might help to save a bit of the angst over low numbers being experienced a little now.

Trying my best with all new customers to promote becoming a member of local Cobra club and attend club events etc. Seems to be working.

I have provided free garages etc at club track events for my customers as well.

I would like to one day have supported track days for owners as well in each state.

NSW Club does such a great job of the Nationals I hope they continue to get the support to keep running it. :)

Craig,

With an attitude like that it is no wonder people are buying your cars!:D

Mal Wood wants to be one of your customers Craig (make it happen - Pls:D)
He eats, sleeps, breathes Tremec from the flywheel to the rear wheels and He'll be at the Nats this year .

Single rail , Top Loader, T5 to Magnum no probs

400TT 09-20-2013 04:13 AM

Thanks guys.

I've got just as much or more enjoyment out of being a member of the Cobra Club as I do out of the Cobra's themselves. So I suppose I am just passing on my enthusiasm for the club. Like many of us here.

Flatchat, catching up with Mal on Sunday. Would certainly love to get him into a PACE 427. I've also offered him support and some free space to display and promote his stuff at the Nationals.

The wife and I just took old blue for a run in the hills north of Brissie to grab some brekky. Running fine now so all is good for my last competitive Cobra outing! This time in 2 weeks it'll be on like donkey kong!

That is a great effort......

there was 80 cars at the European Cobra Meeting last month, that's 80 cars from the Euro Union drawing from a population of over 600 million people:eek:

read into those numbers what you will but we grizzle and groan about restrictions from our authorities on ICVs and the state of our economy,

I ain't too bad here:):):)

See you at the Nats

I am also going to QR on Saturday morning for a shake down to make sure all is good after all my fuel / ignition troubles this year. $120 for 8:30 till 12:30 on the big track.
Anyone can come down, pay your money and do some practice.
