Pollution and noise

Here we go,an EPA led economy.
I think I might buy a Prius and stop having a life.
This was in the paper recently.

Lets hope they hit the smoke belching **** boxes before they worry about noise.

i have always wondered about my cobras exhaust noise, when it passed a rwc.
but the local police just seem to smile when they pull up next to me.
i assume this is because i am pretty well behaved around town.
They love pulling over the ricers.
i counted four skylines in the impound yard last week and about 3 commodores.

HA! I used to drive a 79 datsun 200B and regularly got pulled over...when they saw I was an old fart they usually apologised and said hooroo .. they always thought I was a young hoon in an old bomb....a good target for a list of defects ....ha ha ha

I was cruising through a well known hot spot (80 zone) Sunday before last and out of nowhere a bright green highway patrol car came roaring up behind doing at least 120km/h, pulled up level for about 400m checking me out the whole way. I had Back in Black playing rather loud, gave them the nod but minding my own business. The cop in the passenger seat nods back and they take off again and hang a U-turn at the next break in the road.

Kind of unnerving but you get the feeling so long as you're not being a d1ckhead they respect a hand built car like the Cobra. That's my theory anyway.

If your doin no wrong the plod on a whole are great,it's the few bad eggs on both sides that are a minority that people like to focus on to justify they're own indiscretions!!

I was leading a group (about 30 cars) of my car club on an outing early one Sunday morning.

I spotted a policeman with a hand-held radar, we were cruising (single file) in the left hand lane at 58km/hr.

The police officer realised what we were and lowered his gun knowing he wasn't going to get any of us.

I think we made his day. :3DSMILE:;)
