drb cobra

went to a show held by small ford club out at jimboomba, when i seen this very nice cobra, looked around it for quite some time ,wasnt hard to see that alot of work had been done to this car.the more i looked the more i liked, these pics dont do the car justice, finally the owner turned up and i asked him what kit it was etc.you coulda blew me ova with a feather when he told me it was the same year and kit i own ,a 94 drb ,the differance in the 2 is like chalk and cheese...the things u cant see is the torana front end with drop spindles and nissan 300 zx callipers hooked up to it ,a nissan independant rear.even the stainless work in the nose cone was flawless anyway some pics ,and hes selling it

On a more serious note, does anyone know what that induction/efi setup is and how tall it is off the block?

I am exploring the idea of upgrading my fast xfi efi to the inglese induction system if the majority of it will fit under the bonnet and I can run a traditional scoop...

Inglese Individual Stack EFI systems

Any info would be very helpful, thanks.

Sorry for the hijack :o

Having a quick look at the trumpet mounting and the linkage (or what I can see) it looks very similar to mine (LS1) which is manufactured from Stack injection (link below).

They have a number of variants for ford.

Stack Injection, specialists in EFI Stack systems for V8 performance engines.

Will the seller be able to obtain a RWC without headrests?

Mando 08-28-2013 01:46 AM

WOW, that's a $hitload of detail!

Regards.

That breather tank arrangement is pretty wild. There are some great details all over the car. Very impressive!
How much is he selling it for?

darkside 08-29-2013 04:00 AM

he was talking around the 80k ,not sure how he will go in this climate but i guess you can always come down,....doc

darkside 08-29-2013 04:06 AM

george(owner) offered me to go around to see how the nissan rear end bolts up to the chassis of the drb,i am thinking of taking him up on it as the 9" under mine has been converted to torana stud pattern with gm brakes and between not being able to get wheels for that stud pattern ordinary stopping and slight sideways feel under power around corners(not the good type)feels like it moves around abit, and clutchpacks not working smoothly,i wouldnt mind seeing just how hard it is to go to an independant rear set up....doc
