Yes thanks Pete.
You would have to post this at this particular time wouldn't you?
Can't believe it's a year ago already.

Don

Funny that - my missus said exactly the same thing the other day.

Reminds me I've got to go wish my Godfather a happy 91st birthday - his 90th party was the other reason for us going last year.

Had I not lost my job I know there was a fair push from the war office to have made a return trip this year for the 91st party but probably not Goodwood though.

And yes the video still didn't do justice to the noise factor as the cobras raced past live.

Still great stuff on the video.

I think you will find that the old guy next to the guy taking the video is Ron Thorp. One of the Bowden boys was driving the Cobra.
Yep, It seems like only yesterday, such an awesome event and the missus has agreed to a return visit. Year of visit to be confirmed.... She said we have to dress up more next time...

Official testing day at Goodwood today.

Bob Jane's old 'low score tina' was there.

Classic - never heard them called that before!

Goodwood last year changed me. I figured if the poms can drive their sports cars in their thousands in a country that has such appalling weather, the least I can do is use my Cobra as a daily driver.

Not to mention the racing. Oh to have the resources to support such a passion as racing historic cars!!! I am really happy that such incredibly rich and dedicated folk choose to maintain and race such staggeringly beautiful cars. It's a privilege just to be able to be there to watch them.
