Mike Moore Accident!!!
Just a short note for those that know Mike Moore -Ex Vic. Member
.,......now that Mike is out of the woods!! Probably a bad choice of words considering he hit a tree in the accident on the way home from work Monday night but he would have a laugh at the pun!! Mike hit a tree in his commodore on a rd from Seymour to Woodend after work Monday night and was Airlifted to the Alfred hospital where he was placed in an induced coma on a ventilator ,9 broken ribs and a punctured lung and other injuries! I saw him today and a very different man from the one I've just described, very sore but well and truly on the road to recovery!! So if you know Mike and have his number( or would like it if you lost contact over the years-PM me.)....I'm sure he would appreciate a call if you are so inclined as I'm sure he has a long road back with his recovery!!... And the support of friends is all important!!! Cheers OZ |
That'll teach him --driving GM stuff
From the West Wyalong days where he finished building a "Cobra" in his motel room ready for the Runway blast --and it promptly desintergrated about half track -- much to the dismay of all the officials -- those were the days:LOL: Get well soon ya mad bastard:3DSMILE: |

Yes, the old West Wyalong days. Wild times indeed.
Last time I saw Mike was at Shelby Fest, don't think it was this year, if not, must have been last year. That is one very serious accident and he is very lucky. Really glad to hear he is ok, wish him a full and speedy recovery. Thanks OZ for letting us know. Craig White |
Mike,
Glad to hear you are on the road to recovery. Get well soon mate. Bernie |

Craig, Yes it was the last Shelby Fest at Winton. Mike just lives nearby at Woodend. Mike called over to see us near my Cobra - and Marcus, Mike and one or two others headed off for lunch in Glenrowan where Mike talked the good old days.... Will catchup with him this week....%/ |
240 Kph on the first WW runway blast in the Maroon Cobra
Get well Mike. |
Gearing and Rev's in the Black cobra that decintergrated halfway down
we still reckon was around the 265 kph mark and still pulling when the front right quarter panel peeled off and slapped him on the helmet... The whole body would have come off had I not put 2 occy straps through the oil cooler inlet and brake ducts prior to its final run!!!:JEKYLHYDE**) |
Moorey is on the mend... Headed home this afternoon!!
