Raydyot side mirrors - recommendations?

There seems to be a few different 'replica' manufacturers out there. Can anyone suggest a supplier with a quality product - aluminium. Thanks

I got brushed aluminium from finishline, they seem ok to me.

BTW I'm impressed you actually spelled it correctly. You pay $100 more for a stamped one. It is the same as the Finishline mirrors with a stamp if you're certifiably nuts about details.

Yep! :3DSMILE:

Years ago (1994) I bought my first Raydyot with stamping, for $80.00. Later that year I bought the second one without stamping, for $40.00. :) The mirrors are identical, save for the lettering.

Mickmate,
Do you have the ones with the stamping for $100 more (I guess that would be $140 or so)?

I'm not interested in the ones with the stamping, but good luck to those how are, I'm just curious why the price varies from $35-$70.

Perhaps a better question to ask would be - has anyone purchased an inferior quality product?

Pete I spoke to these guys in the commercial area at some race gathering in September last year while wandering about in some sort of a daze..... ;)

I had a couple of their matt mirrors in my hand but for some reason I didn't buy them. Idiot! The brushed ones were identical to the ones on some of the racers. 23 quid. Might be a bit exxy by the time they land here but they were beautiful.

Maybe we could buy a set each and share the freight cost?

I also got my Raydyots from Bill Kemper. He has a nice Lucas 104 rearview mirror for the center of your dash if you want to have all of the correct mirrors. Very nice stuff but not cheap...

Mirrors mirrors and more mirrors.......

Plenty of Raydyots at Goodwood, from the basic mounting....

to the slightly more adventurous......

to the downright exotic.

They were everywhere.

And so were these cool bonnet clips -- very sleek!

And just for the heck of it, check out this DB3S cockpit. No Raydyots here but also no cup-holders, air con or sound system. Can you imagine the buzz you'd get from sliding behind this steering wheel and booting that glorious 3-litre straight six Lagonda into life? And then taking it out onto the Goodwood track?

Sixty years on and they're still a heart stopper. Timeless and just truly sublime.....
