Warren, I agree with you and there are differences. The main one being salvage rights and excess differs a bit also, but overall seems value for money. Will just hope for the best and drive carefully for 1st year.........Oh well try to any way!

It should be leaving Brissie today and arrive Townsville Wed. Planning to get down there fri to collect and drive back maybe sat. Looks like I am getting dragged around shops while down there. If I get through the shopping I should be right. |
It was a Good Day yesterday. Collected my cobra from Ceva Depot in Townsville and drove back to Cairns. Car performed without fault, but hell the weather was 32c with a hot northerly. But it was still fun. Only got stopped once by police outside Innisfail. They only wanted to ask questions and check the car out.....whew! Drive took about 4.5 hrs as kept stopping for toilet breaks. No not me!....... my wife in other car. So now for the usual sat morning wash and polish and if it stops raining , a drive.

Great news that your baby arrived in Townsville safely and that you had a good trip home -- well as much as north Qld allows at this time of the year in that if it's not stinking hot, it's raining. :p Still there'll be plenty of fun times ahead when the weather cools down a bit. Lots of runs up to the Tableland I'm guessing.
I hope you were polite to the nice officer. It bugs me when they do that. They give you the spiel that 'you weren't doing anything wrong -- we just need to blah blah blah' It's better than getting pinged for something I suppose, but it gives you a start and sort of ruins the mood of the drive. Happens to me frequently when I'm on the bike.... Anyway, apart from all that, well done on your early Christmas present! |
