Good on him for seeing it through to completion. What an achievement.
It's good to see an open wheeler at Lakeside too.

Great video and an excellent story!

What a great find.
Thanks for sharing.

I echo Craig's remarks also.
What a die hard!

Gee that's a good yarn isn't it?

And how good does the Brabham rep look going around Lakeside?

Brings back memories of the Tasman series of the 60s. All the big names came here on a sort of between seasons holiday, and to soak up some Aussie sun, although the racing was full-on. Clark Hill Courage Amon Bandini Rindt Bell...... there we were, young blokes with our Healeys, sitting up on the hill watching the cream of international open-wheeler drivers doing their stuff. We didn't realise how lucky we were. I miss those days.....

I really want to see this car in action and meet its creator.

He was a great guy to do business with but I never knew he had such issues.

A bit more of his build project here:-

That was quite emotional. Well done John. And a fantastic build. Even love the custom trailer he 'knocked up' for it as well!

Thanks Dave for the thread.

The vid of the first run at Lakeside was only this month so I hope it's still going :3DSMILE:

John has just had a few days in hospital over Christmas with diverticulitis but is back home now and back to his normal grumpy self
