ok cool must have been released recently for the 6l80
I think they change the valve body because the factory ecu is inside the valve body

but 7g is not too bad if it wasn't US dollars
its cheaper to fit an l98 and 6l80 and run the gm ecus

The 6x from TCi is a modified 4L80 rated to 850hp so it is not your std trans, internals are all upgraded as well for full manual shift, the price is up there but for the spec I think its ok.

ah ok
so no one yet has made an aftermarket ecu for the std 6l80
I recon no one will cause they are crap boxes

I disagree Jimmy,

Iv'e got a 6L80E in my RMC as you will recall. You guys did a great job of wiring it up , although it was a pain in the arse fitting the security by-pass set-up. It's now all sorted out and works a dream. I gave it a solid work-out at the last Nationals, using both the auto and the tiptronic and it worked like a dream.

sorry I meant to say they are crap when u push them to their limits

in std form they are ok and even with abit of power up around 500kws
plus yours has a different tune to an aussie ve so maybe that's y it doesn't have some of the glitches that's some of the std ve auto commodores have

but once people start twin turboing them they just cant handle the big power and u will find the best transmission shops around (not many of them these days) will not touch a 6l80 if its for a big horsepower vehicle

also if u read the latest holden muscle mag I did a loom for a green lc with a 440 ci l98
now I just redid his loom to suit an ls1 ecu and its getting an even bigger block with around 850 to 900 hp

I don't want to ruffle any more feathers :P

hopefully in a few weeks ill know how this 4l80e goes in the ve
im going back on wed to finish the job off and it will just need to be tuned after that

last week I went for a ride in a 07 hsv with a blower on it and a 6 spd auto
this thing hits and bounces of redline so easily so not sure how long it will last
