What's your favorite colour for a cobra
LiveLeak.com - What's on Every Bank Robbers Wish List this Xmas?
I'm thinking black just after its washed, possibly blue when I'm driving on track, maybe red for the hills, and... maybe Boxhead's bumblebee yellow for the garage. Enjoy |
Thats gotta be fake, there are plastic painted parts changing colors, ie mirrors, moulds along roof etc.
Would love if it was legit. |
Magic?!

Amazing effect, and that guy makes the production of the video look so easy!
Lately I've thought it would be fun to embed a sheet of alloy across the top of a front guard of my old Arntz. Paint over the alloy to match the current paint, then sand back the paint in some sections to expose a bit of brushed alloy - ratrod style! |
I have enough trouble finding my car in the car park without the bugger changing colour on me, I'd never get home.

Princes Alice Blue...or, if you prefer, Viklng Blue with a nose bar... like the original FIA Race Team Cars.

Several years ago Dupont put out a paint here called Chrome Allusion that would change colors just by moving from one spot to another to look at it. They painted Jeff Gordon's NASCAR Cup car with it for one race and there was a Hemi here that had it, but the paint cost as much as the car. Then it went away and I think it was for legal reasons. You could have 10 people stand look at the car from a different spot and every one of them would see a different color or shade of color. I haven't seen it advertised for several years, so I guess they quit making it.
Then there is this that a member just posted on our site but I don't know how it would work out over time. https://www.dipyourcar.com/ Ron |
Ron, it was certainly an interesting effect and DV had this paint on his CR Cobra many years ago. Flip-flop paint, flip front and a flipping great V10 motor made this car STAND OUT in a crowd!!!

Depends what you are after. For a resto-mod looking Cobra, I like the metallic and pearl colors. For my car, I chose Ferrari Blu Pozzi, which is a very dark, non-metallic blue from the 60's (still available). There are two Blu Pozzi's - one that has more purple, and one that has less. I chose the one with less. I'm happy with the result.

Funny I was talking about this subject the other day to a friend.. I never saw this vid until now. We were speaking on certain military applications that have never been released to the public. I thought there must be some tech to change the paint on cars just like the vid shows.
I guess I'm in the minority and enjoy a good clean black car. black n silver ps_2011_12_12___20_19_43 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! |
