If only they knew that one day the contents of that garage would be worth 100M+ !!!

I love the details

CS t-shirt
The cop wandering through
The hacksaws - tools all over the place
The state of the art drill press
The GT40's up the back

Great photo

Just a magic part of time in motor racing history, which, we will never see again.
A kind of innocence and expectation and people doing it because they loved it more than any financial gain to be had. :)

The Cobra in the foreground (CSX2196) is my favourite Cobra. There is almost nothing about this car that aligns with any other Cobra ever built. Every part of it is totally unique. It's pretty cool to see it without the bodywork. Thanks for adding the ohotos.

Well spotted Craig, the comment on Twitter is:

@classicracepics: The Shelby American facility at the Los Angeles airport, 1965. In the foreground is the first 427 Cobra. Photo: LIFE http://t.co/8SyX13JJ6W

It came out with a super rare alloy block 390 FE. So what was a used/modified race car worth when Shelby offloaded it...?

It's worth millions now :)
