Details please.........
Cheers Chris L |
It makes you wonder how many Kirkhams could have been sold in this country if they had a long term distributor with exclusive rights to the product.
Who will be bringing them in next? Ben |
How did you learn about this Darryl?
|
Good to see Neil in those photos. His TV show last year where he discussed his cancer diagnosis and filmed his medical visits was pretty confronting.

There's at least one forum member's car there; KMP762 for "MrWhite"
|
Are AP still an agent? Still in the banner above, but no mention on their site?
|
Chubbin up!
I see a slab side in there. Is that the one 64 Galaxie is waiting on?

I was in there a few weeks back to buy some POR15 paint and they said they were on the water.
They had some other cool stuff in there when i visited. Dick Johnson's old Greens Tuff Falcon was up on the hoist and I got to have a good look underneath. Cheers |
What's the story with the car that is painted?

Better to concentrate on your own product than try and deal with somebody elses. |
I went in there Thursday to have a look on my way through. The fella I was talking to, said they were not a new agent for Kirkham and that the 'blue' one was a keeper and had plans for a big block with a turbo or supercharger. All the others he thought were big block bound except one. But to be fair he was not 100%.
I can confirm for those who haven't seen these up close, they are very impressive. Having seen the pace example............I am still a little biased to the local product, but if your a purist, the Kirkham is hard to beat. I missed the 83 Johnson Bathurst Falcon which I was spewing about, it was in Shepparton apparently. Cheers Chris L |
Looks like the blue one with paint sanded off is to be a SuperSnake replica.

I'd still love to find out what happened to that blue car to require repairs to seemingly every panel...
Restoring Dreams is one of my favourite programs. For such a niche show, the photography/editing is first class. Looking forward to it coming back for a new series. |
It looks like some of the repairs have been done with the RHD conversion. They have welded up the roll bar holes on the left hand side.
Cheers |
Some of the repairs are in such strange areas of the body...

The blue cobra at grand tourer is a shelby continuation car supplied by Kirkham to its owner a long time ago.It was damaged in a tornado and the owner traded the car for a new Kirkham.Kirkham motorsports repaired the car and converted it to right hand drive after being purchased by grand tourer.
It is being constructed into a super snake. The car will run a shelby engine company 427 FE engine with twin paxton superchargers. The major change will be a top loader gearbox instead of automatic. Watch the grand tourer website and facebook page for progress updates. |
Tornado! Well that's a unique history for the car..! As much as I'll be watching out for the Cobra builds at Grand Tourer, I'll be hoping like anything that Neil's health stabilises and improves.
