I understand that the Industrial designer students even build their own 3D printers. When I learned of this... Suffice to say I was quite impressed. :eek:

My colleague has just finished making his win 3D printer at home. Other colleagues printed some if the part (gears, etc) for him. Even geekier, we can watch it printing during the day as he has an ip camera watching it 24x7 so he can check on large jobs from the office!

The jobs are much more robust and usable than I expected!

I have my own 3D printer... you def need to do that on fast forward.. :)

Would be hundreds of hours of machine time.. then it really should be baked at low temp in a reinforced mould to make each major section cure as a single piece.. :)
