Harrison handbrake cables

Okay so I'm about to put the rear handbrakes together & I understand that I need to modify the handbrake cables.
Can anyone advise me what the changes are please.
I am using the R33 skyline rear end.

Rog, I used R33 GTST rear end. Did not modify cables at all. Worked fine. Murray

I can't remember modifying mine either, but the bell crank needed to be cut and rewelded as did the mounts to work for me. Have you got all the handle, crank and cables bits from Cobra Kits?
I'll stick my head under the car and refresh my memory...get back to you

I seem to remember my cables being shortened by Warwick before the car shipped. I've since moved the handbrake to the top of the tunnel using a Lokar unit. Looks much nicer than the Commodore unit and it's no longer jammed in beside the tunnel and driver's seat.

Sambo, do you have any details and photos of this? I'm thinking of going down this path as well.

Thanks Doug. Geof, if I get a chance I'll put the car on the hoist tomorrow and take some photos underneath for you.

Sorry for the delay guys, here's a photo from underneath showing how the Lokar handbrake can be adapted for the Harrison. A section of steel plate is welded into the top of the tunnel with an elongated hole for the handbrake to fit through, plus four countersunk holes. See below for the rear section.

Great, thanks! Do you remember if you used the same handbrake cables? Very neat install.

Yep, original cables were re-used.

All credit goes to Marty at Kenmer Engineering :D
