What do Absolute Pace do for front number plate mount?
Anyone got a pic(s) of what setup Pace are using on the front number plate setup/bracket?
PS: dont tell me about what delays you do or do not have, or anything else about your dealings with Pace, I just want to know about number plate mounting. |
Silly question Ben. It would be a billet unobtainium bracket machined on their 17000 axis Cnc machine by 30 former f1 head mechanics fed only on angels tears and unicorn horn. Their rigorous computer simulation has predicted it will hold the plate at speeds of up to Mach 2. It has however not been tested in practice as they have a few supplier issues.
Mine is zip tied to the oil cooler hose in case your wondering. |

It clearly seems that Absolute Pace are an easy target as myself and my team absolutely pour our heart and soul into our business and bend over backwards to ensure our customers receive incredible quality and amazing value for money. We are a young business so not everything goes to plan, but I can guarantee that our customers are always well looked after. Modena, the supplied PACE 427 number plate brackets are a pair of formed stainless mounts that attach behind the body return at the to of the radiator opening and can be adjusted to support any width number plate and also adjusted to any mounting position up and down and forward and backward inside the radiator opening. Plus the front number bracket is a new addition to our kit and has been retro-supplied to every single existing pace 427 owner free of charge. Like we have done with every new part we have developed, every PACE 427 customer has received the part free of charge. |

Haha - Just a light hearted comment Craig to get a laugh or 2 given recent threads. Not meant to be taken too seriously as anyone that knows me would know.
Sorry Ben if I took it off track a bit but looks like you got your answer. It is actually a good question as I havent found anything I like for the front plate. Not a fan of it being mounted on the top of the opening. Also technically it may not adhere to ADR 61/02 unless your local cop is Tyrion Lannister. Even from that angle not "all" the plate can be seen. "9.1.1.3. no part of a vehicle, including its standard equipment, regular production options or ‘Equipment’ must be so located as to obscure any part of the registration plate(s)." I do like the quickjack mount Damage linked to but it would be shaped for US plates. Might be a market for someone to make something similar for standard Oz plates. Cheers |
Tenrocca, unfortunately it has gone way past a laughing matter.
As mentioned you can adjust the brackets to position the plate so that it is not obscured at all. The car has the plate re-positioned now, when the photos we taken we had just bolted on the front plate using our new mounts and were testing the range of mounting positions of the plate. |

Thanks Mike, it is a stainless prototype unit we are testing as we are going to offer these grills as an option.
By the way, that is actually the heat exchanger for the Supercharger. :) Our radiator sits in behind. |
pity we cant use the sticker type number plates ive seen them on jags and stuff in england on the tv and magazines
those stone grills really finish it of and blends in really nice |
