June Long Weekend QCCC Breaky - North/Sunny Coasters
Just a reminder that on the June Long Weekend (Sunday) the QCCC will hold its usual breaky at THE RED ROCK WATERFRONT BAR AND GRILL.
18 Santa Barbara Rd, Hope Island. As per the normal but with the added inclusion of both a group of NSW members and cars attending as well as a factory tour of the AP facility post breaky. For anyone new, existing or interested people wanting to join in the drive down let me know and we can arrange to meet somewhere for the trip down in a group. Cheers Spookypt |
A halfway meeting point to join some Brisbane guys can be the Shell servo on Coronation Drive at Milton.

Weather is looking good for Sunday. I've seen another Grey Cobra up here on Sunday. There's more up here than I thought.

Snapped a clutch cable in the Cobra at Robina on Sunday on my way down to Byron for a drive..... Long drive back to the Sunny Coast with no clutch. Thankfully only 2 key starts in 1st gear for the trip back..... New cable ordered and will be running again by Sunday. House auction on Saturday and investment property settles on Tuesday so I will have a busy weekend....

So far, apart from Towmaster in unspecified chariot we have no takers wanting to link up (I obviously have no friends) for the breaky south so I'm looking to make an extra early morning of it and do a tunnel run to Milton and meet up with the Brisbane Crew at Coro Drive by 6.30.

Just to keep this thread on track a great day to do the breaky and a good turnout considering the long weekend. Caught up with some I hadn't seen since I owned a regod cobra which was 5 years ago. Nice to have the opportunity to be a part of it again.
I didn't do the AP tour but it was great to see 2 near matching cars in the car park. John with his s/c car and 18s and another ls7 with the 15s. I just love the 15inch look. Cars both looked the goods. Great to see the NSW guys make a huge effort. Lovely cars too. Sadly I didn't get to chat much as post breaky most left for the Tour. See you all at the nats. |
