Ultimate Tow Vehicle for sale by Towmaster

Calling for expressions of interest for my little Rodeo. Six litre L98 Commodore engine and Tremec 6060 manual gearbox. I had a build thread on here a little while ago, not your average Holden Rodeo.......

Some would argue this is the way they should have been built. I think it is the perfect mid sized tow vehicle.... 300 rear wheel horsepower and 12 litres / 100.

http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/aust...cle-build.html

Why am I thinking of selling???

I have (nearly) bought a Ford...... of the F250 type. Suicide doors, 6 seater, 6cyl turbo diesel and only 450,000 klms.

There is just not enough room in the Rodeo tray (1.8m x 1.8m) for all the stuff I need to carry around with the Supercar. i.e. Nitrogen bottles, spares, wheels & tyres, extra tools etc. The Supercar takes up ALL the room in my trailer so everything else needs to go in the Tray.

The F250 has a 2.7m x 2.3m tray...... and is legal for 1600kg in the tray and 3500kg towing.

At this stage it is not advertised I am just gauging interest, I still need it for work until I can get this other truck and swap all my stuff over. I have now done over 120,000k in it with the V8, it gets about 12 litres / 100k on the highway, sits on 1600rpm at 100k.

Any questions are welcome on this open forum.

Or you can just PM me if you are interested.....

Getting a good tow car is hard that ticks all the boxes...personally I hate autos for towing , I live in a Hilly area and need a heavy car to control the 2.2t weight behind the it and something with balls to tackle the hills.....much like a F250...lol...

Towy,

As you are running an LS motor you will require LESS

parts/tools/stuff than with your old FORD powered vehicle.......

Stiffmeister,

Not too sure about the Brazilian Ford MWM Sprint OHC 4.2 litre six cylinder intercooled turbo diesel engine........ But lets hope it's got another half million kilometres in it..... 132kw and 500NM ......... It definitely felt different to drive than the Rodeo. I got out of it and into the Rodeo and it felt like a go kart lol.

Time will tell......

i love the auto for towing last weekend i borrowed a 8 metre long enclosed trailer and towed up thru the adelaide hills into the barossa valley and the ranger had no problem at all hauling it up hill and down dale and still managed good fuel economy the more i drive the ranga the more i love it . the auto is def no hindrance . you can drive it like a manual if you like or put it in sports mode or just leave it in drive . i pulled out to go past a semi going up a hill i was in the overtaking lane and was doing close to 130 ks by the time i got to the top .this thing pulls harder than a teenager with his first porn mag lol:LOL:
