Thanks for the offer Lou, ideally i'd like to pick up in person, but the excess baggage charge will kill me

Insulate !!!!!!!!!! Insulate there is no substitute if you want to keep warm or Cool. Just 2" of fibre or Rockwool will make a mighty difference start with the roof and all those thermal units you are throwing out via Gas or Elec, will hang around a lot longer.

Mike,
Workmanship is fine, he is a welder by trade and it looks good to me. Easy to clean, you can adjust the air to not burn too much wood. They are converted car gas cylinders. We are very happy with ours.
Cheers

i worked in a workshop that used to have a old heater in the corner it used to run on all the old sump oil we got from oil changes free heating i think it would run on kero and diesel as well. it was quite a large workshop and it used to warm it up really well .
once it was up and going there was never any smoke coming out of the flue the boss would fill it last thing and let it run all night if we had done enough oil changes during the day lol .
not sure if the epa would allow them nowdays tho

With the severe cold front coming through melbourne this weekend i decided to buy a heated hoodie like Ben's. I'll be getting a couple of gas bottles refilled for the heater too.

I wanted one of the jackets bet they had none in stock in my size. I think the hoodie will be good though because its machine washable.

Cheers

I'm wearing my heated hoodie too :)

Yes the battery is bulky and not in the best position if you are sitting in a wrap around Cobra seat. You can get an adapter for the cigarette lighter which would let you leave the battery out while driving.

It's nice and toasty warm. I only wish it had some heating around the lower back.

Cheers

That's what the seat heaters are for Mike.

My Cobra has dual power outlets between the seats for exactly this reason - plugin!
