Rawnsley Park Station.
Boxhead, a few of my mates have just come back from a bike ride to Quorn and on the way stayed on Rawnsley Park Station, Flinders Ranges, South Australia near Wilpena Pound.
They have some impressive aerial pics of Rawnsley Bluff, among others. Are you descended from some of Australia's pioneering stock? |
Do they own any Valiants?

Different breed stock Rawnsley.
There is South Australian Rawnsley, and there is North Queensland Rawnsley. I am from the North Queensland mob. A great great (I am not sure how many greats) grandfather came over on a convict boat approx 1800. Later in time a male Rawnsley moved to Innisfail to cut cane, but later became a "boat butcher" in that he used to move up and down the Johnstone river butchering livestock for farming families. |
Quorn and Rawnsley Park are in Adelaide's backyard, not the Alice....and the Valiant factory was in Adelaide, so yep, plenty of 'originals' here Don.

Should add that the originals here in SA were "free" settlers!
