Wanted, Expired Used AVON CR6ZZ 215/60 R15 ect
looking for some tyres to help with the mock up and design of the chassis. should help with the placement of the front A arms and clearance at the side of the chassis.
ideally i would like some 215/60/R15 CR6ZZ AVONs as these will match the 295/50/R15s i have for the back. these seem to be what is recommended for the GT40. however i think my front rims are 8.5" or 9" wide, so would also be interested in say something as big as 245/50 R15, though the diameter is starting to jump up a bit. 225/50s might be ok. let me know if you have something laying around or that may be coming of soon please. I've got a couple of AVON CR6ZZ 215/60 R15 if you still need them. One of them is really only suitable for mock up as it was damaged by a suspension 'expert' putting an anti sway bar mounting bolt on in reverse so has a nice groove cut in the side wall. They're still on rims at the moment as spares. I'll be getting a new set before the nationals and using the current set for spares so they're free to a good home. Paul, that sounds great, will have to see if we can work out a pigeon express or something. Let me know when they are available and I'll see if I can get someone to pick up on my behalf. Only need one, but 2 would be great when it comes time to gap the body ect. What is this Nationals you speak of? I was in Sydney on the Queens birthday weekend to pick up the wheels. Ryan, First weekend in October is the annual Cobra Nationals hosted by the Cobra Car Club of NSW, held at Wakefield Park Raceway at Goulburn, 150K's short of Sydney. Attended by Cobra clubs from most states.
Usually a couple of 40's compete, however I think we were void of any last year. Definitely worth a look if you like a drive. |
