One thing easily missed is when you say the trans needs to line up, make sure you know all about tail shaft phasing.

However it would be better with more photo's please - LOL

could not agree more with you Wil! on all of the above :-)

Apparently one of the lugs on the trans was hard against the tunnel and not allowing the trans to line up straight. Problem solved... lug has now been cut off.

That's normal for the Pace chassis, same on my car (LSA/Tremec MG9) had to chop a few lugs.

No picture able as he took the headers off and reinstalled the engine so he could keep aligning the trans etc. We'll start looking into heating and bending and see how we go.
Thanks for the advice. Nice to know I'm not the only one having small issues.
Cheers
Scott

I wouldn't start heating and bending I would get the face of the flange milled on a angle so the headers will sit closer to the block or further out depending on how you mill it
depending if you mill the top or the bottom off prob only need a mm or two I had to do this on a exhaust turbo manifold a while back
hope that makes sense it does in my head lol
cheers dean

Ok guys, just a little update.
Things are slowly progressing with the build and with the final batch of parts due this week, I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Still a long way to go overall but the path is looking a lot straighter now. The handbrake calipers and assembly is now complete. The intercooler plumbing and hardware is nearly complete. Still waiting for wiring harness and ECU due this week. Tail shaft and gear box mounts due this week. Fuel pump and filter due this week. Tail shaft due this week. Hopefully in approx 4 weeks she'll be turn key and ready to roll for the next stages of final body accessory fit up (roll bars, roof, dummy side pipes etc...)
Just a few of the latest pics from last week.

Hi Scott,
Sounds like great progress. Should be ready for the road when the better weather arrives!
You might want to consider loading the pictures into your gallery here on CC where you have control over them, then you won't suffer the 'Photobucket syndrome'.

Cheers,
Glen

14adrnln 08-14-2017 07:05 PM

Thanks for the advice Glen.
Yes, been having heaps of problems with Photobucket lately!!
Sorry I wont be able to make it to the club meeting tonight.
Have a good one.
Cheers

Those posts without pics were really a tease!
Looks like it's coming along well.

Just another update.
The new carbon dash is now installed and the seats are going in as we speak.

xb-60 09-04-2017 07:20 PM

Hi Scott.
A lot of effort goes into the dash, so excellent progress there.
How long before work starts on the hardtop?

Cheers,
Glen

14adrnln 09-04-2017 09:38 PM

Thanks Glen.
The hardtop journey starts in 17 days....not that I'm counting down or anything...lol. All of theses other bits will be getting fitted with the hardtop over the next 3 months.

This is the aim for the finished project but in a couple different colours.

xb-60 09-04-2017 09:49 PM

I can see the Fergy in the background ;)

....oh, and the hardtop looks great

14adrnln 09-04-2017 10:24 PM

Yeah, the good ol Fergy is taking pride of place at the moment in the new Cobra Cave but once Alumina is home and finished then the old Fergy might need to get shifted...maybe send it to heaven up on the mez floor.

Dream Garage nomination right there!

Well played!

xb-60 09-05-2017 12:28 AM

Settle! Doesn't every garage have a mez?
