Engine cutting out

G'day,
I've had trouble with my LS3 cutting out on me. It happens if I accelerate hard, also when I hit a bump it cuts out. I have to turn the key off and restart.

A real problem when it happens.

If anyone could help much appreciated.

Thanks Mark

Could be one of a few things.
The fact you say under hard acceleration has me thinking fuel supply issue.
I'm no expert but I'd start with checking loose wiring starting with the fuel pump, right through to the injectors?

Best of luck

I had something similar with mine - the main feed from the battery to the fuse box had fried at a join. Wasnt so much happening at bumps etc, but was intermittent. Definitely sounds like a loose connection somewhere.

hi owell

I had a similar issue and had an accelerator wiring clip which was not clipped together properly and was separating when turning left and when my foot brushed the low hanging loom. Problem fixed when the fly by wire accelerator was clipped in to the loom properly. this also meant the car would not start when the accelerator was not being seen by the ECU.

Hope it might help.

Thanks for the advice. You've given me a few things to check out.

Rog246 I made the mistake of saying it was an LS engine. You didn't point out that's why I'm having problems. HaHa
