Everyone has different circumstances I guess so its not a one size fits all scenario. I found, despite what Famous offers, that Shannons were a far better fit for me. They insure all 4 cars, plus house and contents plus my trailer through their subsidiary. My race car is also insured while on the track for any CAMS sanctioned event for a nominal premium and significant cover. Something Famous's policy couldn't get near. Ive had a few small claims over the years and all no problems.

Just a matter of doing your research and see what fits your specific scenario best I say.

It seems that Shannons are more amicable when you have multiple covers..my cousin has the same covers and he is very happy....on the other hand with one car ..I have had a lot of run around and dispute. still looking at all of them. Thanks everyone for the feed back. It helps a lot.

Thanks for bringing up this thread mate, as I had no idea there was a better option out there for these types of cars, but there definitely is...

Last time I read the fine print on my Shannons policy regarding "Salvage rights", you only get the wreck back for free on vehicles over 25 years old. e.g. if your Cobra is less than that you have to make them an offer and they typically want an unreasonable price for it.

Not so now Gregg. I switched to Lumleys this year for my 1 yr old Pace Cobra due to the salvage rights, and otherwise premiums being the same or better compared to Shannons, Rhino, and a few others.

I triple checked, have it in writing and voice recorded confirmation that I keep my wreck for free in the event of a write off.

(Not that I want to be in that situation, of course. A written off Cobra probably doesn't mpbode welll for my body!)
