Wheel arch liner reccomendation for Alloy body
I am at the stage of getting my Pace427 Alumina body finished and ready for a test run but I really would like to line the inside wheel arches with some type of protective material to stop stones and debris from denting the panels from the inside. I had spotted a couple cars in the AP factory that had a high density foam glued to the inside of the arches. Does anyone know what thickness and how much I would approximately need to do all 4 wheell arches?

You can double check with Kirkham as to the size and quantity, but I got 6' x 5' sheet of 3/8 foam from the recommended manufacturer for about $30. That
should be more than enough. |

3m make an impact resistant tape. Its was a bit expensive last time I purchased some but your car looks worth it. The tape was originally designed to protect the leading edge of helicopter blades. It is a clear plastic film that sticks well to a clean dry surface. I have used it on race cars with great success.

I have opted for some 6mm EVA high density foam which I sourced from Clark Rubber. I wanted to use something that will absorb the impact of the those larger sharp stones (you know the ones that flick up when you have brand new tyre tread). I think the 6mm EVA and Sikaflex should work great.
