Tracks about 7 mins outta town. *\-
Accom is
Tent at track. $20 per head but every chance you’ll get hypothermia by 2nd day.
Donga style accom at track. About $80 a night. Shared facilities but better than tent. Usually vic qld and nsw All book out hotels so I’m sure your club organiser will give u the best option there. Clubs arrange buses for town folk to attend dinners or drive in from track.

Thanks for the update.

Going to Stiffy's shed run tomorrow for details on all this so will hopefully be a bit better informed.

My middle son works at BCF and with the gear we've already got I could do quite a Taj Mahal at the track if it comes to that.

And there'd be no fear of chillin out but it might be a lonely existence and so not much fun!

Cheers

Thats three yesses from me, two cars two kids. Now to just reduce the gremlin population.

Ah well accommodation booked.

Seems the Best Western Trappers motel has morphed into the Mecure.

Not many rooms left though boys and girls!

So now need to organise or borrow a trailer and then get an entry in for a bit of fun!

But need to get Marty on the case now and get my rear end modifications finished!!

Hi Guys, just a bit of an update, we have now received our event permit from the AASA so have the final version of the Supplementary Regulations up on the web site.
The Regs were approved without change so the only update you will see to these regs compared to the draft version is the addition of the permit number.

Link to the final version of regs below:

Entry Form & Regulations : Cobra Car Club of NSW

Thanks,
Kim

Geoff T was down at WP racing 2 weekend ago. he didnt get charged for sleeping onsite in his van and the only car in the National Sports Sedans Series that got noise pinged was a Marc car that had a throttle blipper and it popped loud which set the DBA meter off. Hopefully things will be fine for all.

Is there a camping area at the track for Caravans ?. I usually go to Bathurst but I think the Nationals is the go this year. I just need to get sorted......which can be a problem......

Cheers
Chris

Information sheet No. 1 (Not Just a Race Event) has just been issued on below link

http://www.cobracarclubnsw.org.au/ed...ENT%20REV1.pdf

I am also attempting to clarify the details of staying at the track overnight during the event. I will announce this once confirmed with track management.

Thanks

Kimbo 06-14-2018 06:29 AM

I have had some feedback from the Wakefield Park management about staying on site.

The only way you are allowed to stay overnight on site (if not staying in the cabins) is if you have a camper or trailer that is fitted with a shower and toilet.
While staying in the camper, it needs to be located up near the cabins or on the grass area outside turn 1.
Apparently, for race events, the track hires toilet and shower facilities to provide for campers and satisfy their council DA requirements. The track does not provide this for club events due to the reduced income for the track and the low demand for the service.

Kim,

" the track does not provide this for club events due to the reduced income" ...SERIOUSLY?? Are they for real? They get around $40,000 for track hire , thursday practice, food etc...WOW...
