Advice needed - fitting half shafts to Absolute Pace car
Need some interpretive assistance.
I'm about to fit my assembled half shafts to my car (AP 289FIA). The manual says on page 381 (2016 version): "For the outer stub axles, the nut to affix through the rear wheel bearings is recommended to be torqued to 85-110Nm (60-80ftlb) with loctite...." and also "don't forget to fit the supplied flat washer under the nut and fit the split pin as well." Questions: What "nut" is being referred to here? I also can't see where any split pins go either. The outer ends of the half shafts are attached using 3/8UNF bolts, so am I correct in assuming that it is these bolts that are being referred to as the "nut"? Thanks for any advice. Cheers, Glen |
