Side Vent positioning??
Gday Guys,
Time to cut some Side vent holes in this body and trying to decide where exactly I should be laying them out!!?? Looking at the many pics available as much as they seem consistent they also vary as much!! I've mounted with tape roughly where l thought perhaps would be appropriate, though it seems to be one of the few items that does have any specific position that I can find. I was going the Morrison route but decided to change direction and sold it to a fella locally and it's going in a high end Ranchero Show car.

Yes, 445. Looks like a small block, goes as hard as a big block.

On my car, (a 289) the measurement from the front vertical edge of the door aperture to the edge of the radius on the cutout is 470mm.
The approximate measurement from the top of the fender to the top of the vent is 240mm, but this could be different for a 427 body as I think the fender shape is different. Here’s a close up of CSX3022. This might help with a visual of the real thing... Attachment 35506 Cheers, Glen |
