Electronics Expertise Required

This infernal cold starting problem continues.........

Fixed leaking water thermostat gasket, which may have been spraying water under pressure onto the TFI module.

However, everything now dried up, but car will simply not fire unless stood in the sun for 10 minutes.

Will look into replacing TFI module, although not the easiest thing to access (probably needs some unknown Ford tool to take it off).

Anywhere else should I be checking that needs heat to get it going?

Once started, runs and fires like a dream.

Even tried the wife's hairdrier although did nothing but give the electrics a blow dry.

Thanks guys

Peter,
Get a paint stripper heat gun which can put out more heat than a hair dryer and continue down that path. I have found many intermitent heat and cold related faults using a heat gun and freeze spray.
Try heating all the electronic modules one at a time and see if you can get a start out of it.
CAUTION as the heat gun can be very hot dont burn or melt anything.
My 0.02 cents worth,
Bryan

Thanks Brian...

I'll have my extinguisher at hand ready for the fires - melt down.

At least if I melt something I'll know what it is.

Thanks again
