Spewing Transmission Oil

How about this one.....

Found the real cause of the cold start problem.....the bonnet.

Leave it up over night, starts first time.

Leave it shut, won't start. Simple but no idea why.

Anyway, next issue......

Started this morning with the hood up of course. Then...........red s**t all over the garage floor - No lips on the transmission pipes running through the chassis - the bl**dy hose had blown off.

Beautiful car, but what a bi**h.

Will be fixed by tomorrow

Pete..I feel for ya buddy...guess all this is what comes with buying (as opposed to building your own) a cobra.

Hang in there mate.....I'm told it's a bit like raising kids...it gets worse :JEKYLHYDE

Just wait till you bet bitten by the performance bug...larger engine, better gears etc etc......hell...look what happened to Craig :D :D

Les,

I don't mind. Its one way of getting to know your car. Break it fix it.

I only wish it would'nt happen all at the same time. My business is suffering because of find the problem fix the problem days.

Its a good job I work from home (Homie)

I reckon your motor is afraid of the dark. Try installing a night light in your engine bay. :JEKYLHYDE

Afraid of the dark and making a mess on the floor. Your drive train is possesed by the ghost of a three year old kid. I suggest an exorcism.

Cheers

Very good Mike (and I thought it was only Les who was full of *hit - that was whit).

Right I need your help (not again they say). This is slightly different.....

We've just bought an Echo (same colour as the Cobra, but no stripes) and the kids won't get in it unless we put a sticker on the back saying "My other car's a Cobra". The kids of today are truly spoilt. In my day if the car had 4 wheels you were doing well.

Any ideas where we can pick up such a sticker?

Aussie Mike 10-16-2003 01:09 AM

Go and see one of the more up to date sign writers. Most of them these days have a Computer controled machine that will cut out self adhesive vinyl to anything you want. You often see them at car shows cutting out stickers for ricer back windows.

Cheers

Pete..you've heard this all before..but I'm gonna tell ya again

Insanity is hereditory...it's caused by kids. :D

Now...whats this rubbish about the kids wanting a sticker... C'mon..fess up....you just really dont wanna be seen in the echo ..do ya?? %/

Rebel1 10-16-2003 01:38 AM

I'm not into Black Magic ..but

I have this little doll thingy..an effigy of Pete

Anyone got some more pins I can stick in it:D :D

hehehe..oops

PCC 10-16-2003 01:53 AM

Now Les.....Settle down.

How is it that as I'm writing I know what your reply is going to be. We're either telepathic or the answer is so obvious, one of the two.

Regards the Echo (forget the engine) it really is an impressively designed car. Inside it seems as big the cruiser (for the driver anyway) and the holographic speedo is like been at the movies.

Fit one of those speedos in a Cobra and you would definitely be in the 22nd century.

Pete..now ya know how I got my nickname
