Superformance kits

can you get them in oz? and do they meet queensland transport standards? of all the kits i have seen the superformance ones are the most visually appealing...i would really love to get my hands on one...

boxhead 01-11-2004 05:01 AM

From what I know thw superformance cars dont come as a kit, only as turn key minus.

Which is basically a complete car with out engine or gearbox.

When Garrett, (justbetter) sees your question he will have your answers as he has just completed his superformance, what a beautiful car it is

OneFastRide 01-11-2004 07:11 AM

Matters not where you live in this ever shrinking world of ours - Superformance MkIII is available as a factory assembled roller only. No kits.
Happy motoring!

REPTYL 01-11-2004 10:06 AM

CTC in Warrigal Victoria are the Superformance guys in OZ.
Fantastic cars. Priced under a Robnell but more than most kits in Australia.
They are probably the best engineered and built Cobras I've seen on the road.
Should meet all Queensland transport standards.

Whoah

Yeah had some great fun, should have seen the look on about a dozen push bike riders when they could hear me coming but had no where to go.

The sound of the cliff face and in the gully was great.

I have owned a few so called kits in my time. The last one I had was in the UK made by RAM (L.R. Roadsters) which was driven by Adrian Cocking (ex-DAX) It was a factory built and was an excellent car. RAM was also endorsed by Carroll Shelby and I guess he knows what he is talking about. I sold it when I moved back to the States and have looked at most all of the current replica makers. I recently bought a Superformance and am extremely impressed with the car and support. Bang for the buck, it is the way to go. Even one of original cobra drivers, Bob B. said
' the Superformance is the car Carroll Shelby should have built '
Put in a small block stroker worth 430-550 hp and you have a screamer that requires no maintainence. Fit and finish is perfect.
Just my two cents

The Superformance kit is available in Oz.

I can recal a previous Thread/Post on this

Just go back through the Threads to find this. Also check the Superformance site on this Forum. Locally its C.T.C (Cobra Technology Centre)in Warrigal Victoria?

Take a look at 'Justbetters' site camera as he has Posted a number of photos of his car there.

C.T.C advertise in the Snaketails magazine and the contact there is Brian. They have a silver demonstration Cobra and a Cobra for sale there now.

Email 'Justbetter' and he will fill you in on all their details of C.T.C if not found above.

You may consider coming down to Mt. Gambier on either the 13th or 14th of March as I think both Superformance Cobras will be there again. You can get a first hand look at them. A four hour trip could be better than a 10 hour trip to Warrigal in eastern Victoria.

See the Thread on the Mt. Gambier Run or the Thread on whats on in Victoria.

No doubt by the time you read this reply there will be a nuymber of Posts with all the details of SPF in Australia.

Cheers

My mistake for some reason my Post jumped in ahead of yours so I did not see you Post.

The 12.17PM you Posted dropped in ahead of my 11.10PM Post.

This has happened a few times and I think it is due to my starting a Post and leaving it to do other work. Sorry about the confusion.

Anyway there's a few leads Posted now.

Cheers
