Everyone needs one

Hi all

:3DSMILE:

Everyone should have one - a must have

Called into see AC514 Cobra and had a wander around his show room.

I purchased a hand held 'UHF' radio and headset. For some time I have watched the trucks flying past me and wondered if there was something/someone hiding around the corner waiting for me with a camera or radar.

AC514 has these little numbers for about $150 with the headset.

I went for one that has a longer range of 40 kilometres as I spend a lot of time on that highway between Mt. Gambier and our house in Geelong.
Had a CB radio in one of my cars years ago and it was good for passing trucks etc.

Think these are important as we often drive together and radio communication would be good. I can recall going to the Nationals in Goulbourn and a few of us stopped. It would be good to communicate to the lead car to say you have a problem or you a stopping for...

I will ask AC514 to put a new "Thread" on here to show you the units and the prices. I think this little number I just brought may save me a dollar or two. Then again I could just drive slower..

Cheers all

Garrett

Imagine if the lead car had a radio

A warning on the double bubble ahead coming at us. You have just saved the cost of the radio.

Of course I don't for one moment suggest we should speed and warn each other if Police are around the corner. Ohhhh f*#@ them..

Today I heard that there was a parked speed camera on the Western Ring Road when I was heading to McDonald Bros. Racing. Yes it was there and in an 80 kmh roadwork zone and just past the over head cameras.

It was picking cars off like flies. I would have been one, but I was looking for it instead of listening to the engine or looking at the blonde in the car next to me. Everyone was passing me on the Freeway and getting flashed by it.

Sorry did not catch up today, but will try when over next week. Will ring before - to give you a chance to go out or not answer the door

Something is wrong as I have been cruising in the sun.

:MECOOL:

Cheers
