Nobody seems too interested in the idea up here in Qld. I thought a number of guys that don't do a lot of miles might be interested in having a $600/yr saving, but most think it's too restrictive.
As far as I'm aware, you are allowed to drive within 15km radius of your home anytime, you are allowed to take your car to be repaired anytime, you can go on any sanctioned club event anytime, but you can't use it to drive to work / the shops / down to the beach etc without having police (and insurance) implications.
