VDO speedo calibration

Time to calibrate the speedo. There are two ways to do it, measure out 1000m , press button on speedo travel 1000metres press button on speedo. or punch in pulses per km generated by sender on gearbox.

Does anyone know how many pulses the sender puts out on the GMH Tremec 6 speed.

Thanks,

Phil

It all depends on diff ratio, tyre rolling diameter etc

Mine worked fine using a measured mile. You can compare it with a GPS unit or radar to be sure once you use the measured distance.

Any problem ring Roger Howard at Howard Instruments in Northern Road Heidelberg Victoria. Sorry don't have their number here at work.

Howards are opposite VDO and are their distributor.

Incidentally he makes a Smith copy using the VDO gauges. Making a new face with the genuine looking dials. No hassle all electronic.
