chrome stuff

Just a question on stuff like over riders and nudge bars.Is it a matter of the most expensive is the best or they all come out the same factory and people set their own price? Eitherway who has the best accesories.I have noticed up to $200 bucks difference in overrider sets alone between places.

Without comparing any brand vs. the other, I would advise that the primary difference in price is most likely in the quality of the chrome plating, and in some instances the quality of the underlying metal (and prep of same prior to plating).

Everything that comes out of Snakepit (Don Pilling) seems of very high quality, and Don's a staight-up guy. Probably not the cheapest, but I haven't really looked at the quality of the cheaper products to compare value.

I can only echo Craigs advice.

I don't know if Don's parts are cheap ... Mainly because what I have purchased from him are excellent quality, he has excellent service, and better still, he does not not short shift ya if you only want some advice.

Couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Cheers

As as above I have bought most of my bright stuff off Don and his stuff is first class. Great and honest guy to deal with.

Ditto all of the above.

Don is very good and importantly packs everything for freight to you. Don Pilling, Snake Bite, Labrador Qld.

Additionally, I use Enzio and gang at Finishline. See their add in the side column.

Freight/packaging and the Australian dollar makes them very reasonable. Check out the Texas Cobra Club site and you will see added praise for Enzio and Paula at Finish Line Inc.

Cheers

Hi BJ

I totally agree with what everyone else has said. We are getting to the stage of ordering some "bright" stuff. I have rung around a few distributors here in Australia and some have cast products whilst others sell the better quality products, better base material and chrome finish etc.
In particular one cobra spare part dealer I rang sell the over riders that they cast themselves.........but they don't have the finished chrome back on them, these only has the front only and not the half back covering.
Whilst others I rang have the high quality overiders that are chromed all over.......I guess it depends on the finish you are after and the size of your wallet!!

I have just ordered some bits an pieces from "Finishline" and Europea spares can't wait until they get here!!

Regards
Lyn

I think Red hit it on the head.

I have a real prefrence towards Stainless Steel. Polished Stainless seems to be expensive. Triple chrome rates up there as well.

Not to many shops can afford to supply "cheap" and last.

It is a matter of material, quality and finish.

Just my $0.02

You cant go wrong using Snake Bite gear. Always top quality and he will make any specials you want, just takes a bit longer.

His polished alloy and aluminium parts are a work of art.

Phil.
