Milestone reached today - 16,000 k's
Today I drove the Cobra down to the exhaust shop and noticed my speedo turn over. Whoa I realised that I had travelled 16,000 kilometres ( 10,000 miles ) in just under six months.
**) Hell, I will need an engine re - build before I get it painted. :eek: Guess I made it to be driven, and have enjoyed every day in it. Those 1,000 k (600 mile) return trips to meetings, events etc. in Melbourne soon add up. Sunshine or rain... Include the many times I have been caught half way between South Australia and Melbourne, with no roof in heavy rain. Just parked under bridges. Plus long drives in the sun. I can see how they added up. Well with a new roof and paint, it will be like a new car in a month or two. Just ready for summer again. :3DSMILE: My 3 year/100,000 k's warranty is a concern though...:eek: Suns out tomorrow so may go for a drive **) Cheers Bernie |
Bernie Knight Hey Bernie Wear it out . You will just have to rebuild or buy another one and give it to your son. I talked to you know who :eek: ( not saying any names) He got is award and had a great time, they had a drag racing simulator there and guess what:confused: Old RED LIGHT was at it again.:LOL: I will not say anything else. Hope you and the family are great, Gald the cars getting a work out.:) Have a cold one and stay safe.;) Watch out for those ROO'S. Rick Lake. Yes I saw that he won the award there. Has even changed/updated his webb. site with all the details. Seriously - good news for George and the guys at Gessford. Pass on my congatulations when you talk to him. Also get that new engine order in quickly, as he will bumps the prices up now that he has a trophy. :confused: Think the 'Red Light' may be an ageing thing? Cheers Bernie |

Bernie.....as usual "Rick" only gave you half the facts about the Drag Race deal.....I did have the best Reaction time of the day and was in the lead when the competition closed at 6Pm with a best of .001 seconds. Then in the first round of the final eight.....I did the number eight guy with a perfect light .000 seconds....and that will be in Engine Builder Magazine.....NOT the (-.012) I had in the final four when Iost with a usual Red Light trying to win....Never Never Never be conservative in the Semi's I always say....and what do I know as I always get a Red Light...now that's a better version of the True Story from Las Vegas....
