Default Not True!

[quote=number 1 cobra;957110] cobra built by Robnell and Caroll Shelby .

That second bit is not true.
Bob Darnell built it ,copying every other kit available. He works a sandwich shop now in Sth yarra melbourne, perhaps you should catch up with and get the real story.
Max.

Remember the ad very well. Ampol actually ran a contest where you received an entry form for every $20 petrol purchase and you went into the draw to win that cobra. I had a mate who worked at the local Ampol servo and somehow ended up with 10 books of 100 entry forms. Sever writers cramp ............ 1000 entries...... didn't win 20 years later had to buy one

Theres a possibility Im getting confused, as the altheimers is starting to kick in, but the competition I remember the entry form had a series of pictures from the add with the cobra - except one wasnt from the add. You had to pick which one wasnt in he add. I only sent one entry in - no wonder I didnt win.

I imagine they were copies, they were not much more than 20 bucks including postage and laminating, but good copies at that, and well worthy of hanging in the shed .
