Car trailers
Have any of you guys seen those small trailers where only the front wheels of the car being towed are on the trailer. They are basically an A frame with an axel and a couple of plates for the front wheels of the car to sit on. I thought that one of these would be a good way of getting the cobra from place to place and not take up to much backyard when not in use but i cant seem to find anyone that makes them in SA .
Any info would be great. Paul |
Paul,
Would not your back end ground? I'm sure mine would (Cobra that is) |
The one i saw th front wheels were only 100 mm or so of the ground so it wasnt on much of an angle

%/ 'U - TOW' a SA company that has a branch/agent in Mt. Gambier have one. Perhaps you can give them a call and ask their supplier. **) Agree that the back of the car would possibly grind its self away then again, possibly you can try before you buy. Cheers Bernie |
You can find them on the web. Been a while since I looked for them but found them thru a "search". I believe "car tow" rather than "trailer" works. Decided against them because the price is almost as much as some larger trailers. Not sure you could use a tow bar with a Cobra (works fine with Jeeps and costs far less).

They are called a dolly or dollies, even U Haul has them. I would think the back of the car would be pretty low especially goin in a driveway when the tow vehicles back wheels rise up the ramp.

Here's one for US$820. But how hard could that be to make ?? Surely you guys who have nothing to do could knock one up.
Make sure you test it on your neighbours car first !!! |
Thanks for the info guys
They seem to be readily available in the states and a bit costly aswell it would be good to find someone in OZ that makes them . %/ |
