Hard top

Hi Guy's
I am thinking about getting a hard top for the cobra and If possible I would like to sorce one in Australia before looking over seas. Dose any body know if CTC bring one in for the superformance as the body shape looks pretty close to the classic revival.

Any help would be appreciated.

CTC

Craig,

CTC do bring one in, and have one in the workshop, i've looked at one too but a few bucks.

Actually Brian and Colin are over there know in South Africa finalizing the bits on a Daytona.

They are bringing a container in, in August i think with Camerons car in it and the Daytona, there would be room for a Hard top.

PM me if you want Brian email in South Africa to ask him questions.

Regards Garrett

Have you heard any costings/prices on the Daytona Coupe?

Cheers

I hope my car is in it!!

I believe George V at Python Cars in South Melbourne was making them too.

The SPF lids are costly, but trimmed, made well and made for that car. I have one coming with mine.

Bernie, I haven't heard on the Daytona, but middle 90's odd for a roller would be a fair guess, depending on the amount of custom work is involved for Aussie ADR's.

Yes,

Your probaly on the money. I saw one at SPF at Costra Mesa California last year and it looked really good.

Wil keep an eye out for the arrival at CTC.

Classic Revival make them (or have made) in the past.

Cameron Parsons 07-17-2004 04:22 AM

I asked Bryan for a priority test drive when I ordered the MkIII...:D

All I need to do now is convince my wife that they are more valuable as a pair.... and it's not a matter of want, but need ;)

When I pick up mine, I'll post pics of the Daytona. I wonder if they plan to gear it up for the Nationals..:)

Thanks Guy's
I will have to ask Ian about the classic revival lid.

Cameron:
If you don't mind me asking what sort of dollars are we talking for the superformance lid? and do you know how much Python Cars top costs.

Bernie:
Do you know what kit Terrys hard top was made for?

Craig W

Cameron Parsons 07-17-2004 01:17 PM

Hardtop comes colour matched with the car, trimmed inside (just like a bought one), and runs around 3K.

Cameron

Cameron Parsons 07-17-2004 01:21 PM

Oh, and I don't know how much the Python lids are..

BMK 07-17-2004 05:24 PM

Craig

I'm not 100% sure about Terry's car. It is possibly one of Laurie's cars.

Perhaps, give Terry a call and talk with him.

There is not a lot or work in making the hardtop fit your car.

Basic fibreglass skills and the ability to cut a template. I'm sure there are a few members who would advise you here on the forum.

I can chase Terry and find out if you cannot get onto him.

Re; the Python top - if George V. is consistant he will not sell you a top unless you have his body. Try him anyway.

Python Cars, Ferrars Street South Melbourne or GMV Automotive at the same address. George or Maggie Vidovich

Cheers

Bernie.
