These were taken last weekend just before I trailered it over to get started. The colour is a bit dull as it has some dust on it. The colour is called "red hot"

Flip,

Car looks great! Looks like your nearly there.
What sort of wheels are you running?
Are you planning to take it to the nationals?

Regards.

Flip,

The car is looking great. What is the small thing on the back center behind the seats that looks like a small back facing hood scoop. Is that a brake light holder? Post more pictures when you have her outside and all polished up.

Ron :)

Stop light - high mounted

Ron

Flip will correct me, but it's the high STOP light that is required here in Australia to comply with the Australian Design Rules.

This is the place where they make you paint your instrument surrounds black and your window frame black so they don't shine in your eyes - then they let building owners use reflective mirror windows in the street  Government run by f:LOL::LOL:kwits

Hell on my soapbo..

Some guys use the light from the small Ford convertable called a Capri - correct me re. your STOP light brand Flip.

Flip, you must be a starter for the Nationals?

Cheers

Bernie

Ron

Was just looking at the map. Where's Shasta Lake?

I'm on the Blue Lake at Mt. Gambier. Just 200 up the street.

Cheers

Bernie

Well, I am not sure. but Bernie, Ron is in CA and you are in SA. Shasta lake is in the USA.

Sounds like you guys have more government rules than we do.

Now, if you could only get those steering wheels on the correct side,... LOL

Flip, car looks real fine.

BMK 08-19-2004 06:25 AM

Sorry about the confusion its late over here.

The Blue Lake is the main tourist attraction in Mt. Gambier South Australia and is just 200 yds. up the street from my home.

I was looking for Shasta Lake on the 'Map Search' but could not find it. Wondered if there was a lake there or if it was just a town name.

Not to worry

Cheers

Bernie,

Shasta Dam and Lake supply a lot of the water for Southern Calif. I live in Shasta Lake City and am 7 miles from the dam. The location is far Northern Calif., just 10 miles North of Redding. On map search use zip code 96019 for Shasta Lake or 96001 for Redding. Right now most of the water from Shasta and Wiskeytown Lakes is being used to fight the fires. Shasta Lake is also a huge tourist attraction, and every year at Spring Break, we get tons of college students from Oregon and other areas.
Lots of great mountian roads to drive on and the scenery is really nice. I have been trying to get Brent, (Flipper35) to come up and go driving but he prefers the flat, hot, sandy, desert. :3DSMILE:

Thanks Ron

When I stayed at HB Cal. last October the fires were really bad and I can recal some mention of the lake.

%/

I did not get up north other than the beaches and just north of LA to the Getty Museum but it was really smoky and lots of ash about.

**)

May get an opportunity next June to travel a bit further north.

The Blue Lake at Mt. Gambier is both the main water supply for the homes and the surrounding rural areas.

Secondly, and probaly the most important it is the largest tourist attraction in the State. Mt. Gambier is the largest town outside of Adelaide the capital of South Australia. We are midway between Melbourne, Victoria and Adealaide, South Australia and nearly on the coast.

Crayfish capital of Australia. Australia's premier wine region the Coonawarra also are big draw cards for the town.

Just some info for you. I will re check Shasta Lake.

Cheers

Mando
The wheels are halibrand replicas with Knock on hubs, when I get my photo's organized I'll take a shot.

Bernie, You are right the "reverse scoop" is the High mount stop light, and I believe when you black out the chrome its best to use kids water colour as it washes off very easily after rego. No stripes at this stage and I don't think I will be able to make the Nationals.

Phil
