To Hire Winton for the Saturday is $4250 and that includes the public liability insurance and the Ambulance and Fire truck.
Heathcote on the Sunday is $40 per Car but if we have more than 40 cars it's $30 each. So just to cover the track hire for both days if we have 50 cars entered we are up for $115 each. There would be other costs on top of that for trophies advertising etc and perhaps timing equipment for Saturday. A BBQ dinner wouldn't work out too expensive per head and people could BYO drinks. If we then want to run a presentation at a venue there are going to be costs involved in that as well. If we can make the event big enough we may be able to get one of the auto magazines on board and then that might incourage some sponsorship from Shannons or one of those interested companies. Street machine Magazine supported the LS1 drag nationals at Heathcote and they ran a feature in the magazine. we should perhaps talk to them or australian Classic Car since they've done plenty of features on Cobras in the past. I would definitely appreciate some help as this is just too big for one person to organise. Cheers |

Great work Mike.Sounds great. I'll be there. I think its time the various state pressies to get involved as it needs a coordinated approach and is too much for one person. Thats only about 150 sleeps. Phil |
Just as an indication of the kind of weather we could expect for the event. Here's the BOM report for March 2004 for the Benella region.
BOM Report Sunrise was at 7:24am and Sunset at 7:30pm If that's not Cobra weather then I don't know what is. Cheers |
