Les,
If you're after a zoo full of animals, maybe we should just go to my sister's place. She's on 5 acres, complete with
2 bulls
2 ducks
14 chickens
2 cats
2 dogs
1 South American parrot

The bulls, ducks, chickens and eggs could all be put to good use. The cats don't have enough meat on them. Touch the beautiful dogs and you'll have me to answer to. The stupid, agro, noisy damn parrot - I'll eat it myself - live. I hate it, and it hates me !!!!!

Rebel1 11-16-2004 02:56 AM

Hahahaha...sun blisters Pete?

You'll know what sun blisters are after you drive to Redcliffe with a live calf in tow....I think those calves are good for about 15Klm Pete, so you'll be in the car for a while.

Cross fingers it's good weather tho fellas. :)

Scotty...no $hit...if you guys are game enuff to rock up with ya 4 legged little friends and get ya pics taken.....you got the grog. :D :D

Les,

How about high noon - that will enable me to have my obligatory 8 cups of fresh coffee before setting off.

Passed on details to the hiearchy so we will see how many want to visit your neck of the woods.

I'm only riding up because your there!!!!

Are you sure a 4 burner barby is enough????????????????

Rebel1 11-16-2004 04:04 AM

Yep Pete, 4 burners will be ok....:)

I have complete faith that you'll be able to cook for anything up to 100 folks.

Of course, I'll be managing the ice box ( boxes) so that'll keep me from distracting you :D :D

HJigh Noon it is. :)

Mrs flatchat 11-16-2004 04:17 AM

Did someone say free" Beer!"
Make mine Guinness ( in tallies )--only need one as it makes me lie down straight and 'purr' all night.

PCC 11-16-2004 04:22 AM

You've started something here Les:rolleyes:

What's the Minister for Affairs going to say???

Not only animals, but now you got the ladies on the guinness.

Wots this " not good not good" bit heh?

Ya right....that does spell trouble

Mrs Flatchat..love to see ya on the day. I'll make sure Pete leaves at least one guinness for ya :D

Les,

Expect quite a few Cobra's and GT-40's coming up from the Gold Coast.

I've asked them to confirm numbers to me and then I'll pass on the info to you so that you can strike that 4 burner in time for the onslaught!

And I don't drink Guinness - Its an Irish tipple - not that's got anything to do with it.

PCC 11-27-2004 03:48 PM

Just an update,

So far we have a definite two Cobra's coming up from the coast (Warren & John Cray) and one from Tenerife (Bernie?) (I thought that was an island in the Mediterranean:rolleyes: )

No doubt there will be a few others once next Sunday's meeting is held.

Les....

How are you going to secure parking for us???

Cameron Parsons 11-27-2004 05:10 PM

PCC,

at this stage I intend to be there too.. New super dooper, or old faithful.. That's the question.

Cameron

PCC 11-27-2004 06:15 PM

Cameron,

Ideally SPF and someone else in the Dax - Good luck on both fronts.

750hp 11-27-2004 07:54 PM

Dad and I will be there in the Cobra - rain, hail or shine. In fact, I think the car handles better in a downpour....

Rebel1 11-28-2004 01:32 AM

Hey guys and gals, Two things bothering me about our lil BBQ on the 12th. One is the parking at Suttons.

The place is so popular that we might have trouble getting all the cars parked let alone parking them where we can see em.

I was down there today for a look and it was standing room only.

However, if you look at the map of Redcliffe in my gallery, at N2 on the map...you'll see another developed picnic area which has heaps more room and not as busy as Suttons...

Same deal...picnic sheds...toots for the ladies, but more importantly, parking for heaps of cars.

Whats ya thoughts?...

Second concern is....I've trained a flock of pelicans to sit on the light staunchions above the old hornibrook/houghton bridge.

Getting them to recognise a blue cobra being driven by an English gentleman is proving to be difficult. I've still got a couple of weeks tho.

Only kiddin Pete ;)

PCC 11-28-2004 03:41 AM

Let me know by say Tuesday of this week so that I can let all know at this end.

Too fast for Pelican's mate!!!

Cameron Parsons 11-28-2004 09:55 PM

Number plates issued today..... It will be a close thing ... **)

Cameron

mate 11-28-2004 11:52 PM

sorry people but we won't be going to the do :(

at least it free's up a bit of space on Les's barby and in the esky :)

Rebel1 11-29-2004 01:23 AM

As Rodney Rude would say.. :p

Hey Trendsetters, The location for the BBQ is now N2 on the map in my gallery. :)

Over the Bridge....slight right, then along the beach front....look for tourist information building on the right at a set of lights. I think it's called pelican park. Can't miss it...huge park with picnic sheds...boat ramp...shelters...kids playgrounds etc etc. All sealed roads around the park.

We can ensure heaps of parking within sight of the shed we choose. Keep an eye out for a pewter coloured Magna sports 548-GQQ. Mobile 0419 721 731 if any problems...We'll be in one of the shelter/picnic sheds.

Now Pete....these are Northside raised pelicans mate...not your average wello point birds. Stealth bombers have nothing on these girls. They can drop a " bomb " in ya shirt pocket if ya not careful.

There'll be one on every light staunchion waiting for ya

Rebel1 11-29-2004 01:28 AM

Goodonya and congrats Cameron...hope you can make it with the new girl

Cheers

PCC 11-29-2004 01:33 AM

Okay Les - Take it as a cert and I'll let the "Southerner's" know.

I presume if someone doesn't notice the change they will see the Cobra's and Magna Sports just after they have crossed the bridge.

Oh and you not being too careful, I presume you're covered in s$%t

:p
