hehehehehehe.....Boxhead...you ungrateful bu$$er. ;)
Least they chocked the back wheel to stop it rolling into the pit. Mate, by the looks of those at the door drinking...I'd be checkin underneath the thing to make sure the gearbox is still there. :p Must admit...it sure looks good tho Cheers |
I think you have under estimated there Bernie, we actually employ 27 mechanics, includeing 3 Toyota Master techs.
We also have the Toyota technician of the year 2003 (he cannot enter for another 2 years) We also employ about 6 -8 apprentices (2-3 each year) I dont know the actual size of the workshop but every tech has a work bay and all 4th year apprentices have a bay, also there are 8 hoist bays plus the pit you can see, plus a wash bay and engine room. There is also a library/computer room for workshop manuals. The whole workshop is air conditioned. And we have just started an expansion program where we are going to build a second workshop on the neighbouring block of land the owner just bought |

It's tough at the top..
Sorry Boxhead
I was referring to the guys that you 'book out' to work on your car there. Someone must continue on the 'day to day' cars... Now the new shed will no doubt have a Cobra detail bay and storage for your Cobra....yeah tough at the top...**) Have fun all. I'm out cruising in the sunshine. Whilst it lasts..:MECOOL: Bernie |
27 mechanics.
That's twice what I thought the entire NT population total was.:JEKYLHYDE |
None of it is mine but it sure is good knowing it is there and haveing a boss that is ok with letting me use some of it.

I thought I better let you all know where the name WALNUT came from,
Well one of our service advisors (Robert) his nickname is Peanut as he comes from Murgin (sic) which is apparently near Kingaroy which is peanut farm country. And as he is on holidays at the moment I am filling in for him and since I am bigger than him I am WALNUT. I hope that sorta explains it all. P.s i have added yet more pics of what I did today. |
I was afraid to ask
Boxhead
Now I wasn't going to get personal and ask you about WALNUT.... thought someone may have been peeking in the shower block there..:3DSMILE: %/ All the same its not a bad workshop. Atre you able to use all the equipment? Do you get much help from the guys there seeing its a GM workshop?... Have a good Christmas break and New year. Will catch up in 2005. Bernie |

Good to see you over here on the Aussie forum...%/ Hope all is OK over there with the family. I did see the DVSF site 'Thread' and "Posted". **) Hope to catch up at the DVSF in June. Will travel across with Hershal - BTSNAKE. Then back to Fontana to SAAC. Bernie :MECOOL:..driving in the summer sun..**).....over 16,000 miles in one year. |
Yeah Bernie I can use all the facilities we have and all the guys are keen to help when needed, I have even asked afew questions direct to Holden tech assistance.
I am currently looking into a new tune tool called flashscan, looks like it could be a good thing for people useing Gen III engines. You can disconnect/switch off the VATS (immobiliser system) and do away with the BCM, it also is very user friendly and able to be purchased by anyone. I have heard that all that is required is the software and a laptop. I have just been shown a link to the info regarding it, please have a read and let me know what you all think. http://www.efilive.com/flashscan.html |
