Good buy on ebay as a starting point

Here is a link to what could be a cheap buy for the suspension parts if anyone is looking.

Hmmm,,, well thats odd. Old Jags are a dime a dozen here in Hawaii (left hand drive though). Nothing "rare" about that engine either, LOTS of 4.2's around here.

Does this mean that Jag's were not that common down under? Curious.....

casaleenie 01-02-2005 11:07 AM

Jags are probably rare in Alice Springs... They never made a Jag that could make it that far....:D

Ha ha ha,,,, now THAT was funny! What you reckon gave out first? The ignition system or the headlights? :D

I was mainly refering to the price, being a pommy import means it is full of rust so it may not get many bites.
Currently stands at $5.50

Apart from the front suspension componants, do you think there would be any other usable bits for a CR build?

Its now up to $15.50....bit pricey now
:p

I was thinking of the rear IRS as being the more valuble aspect of this car.

Interesting about the rear buckets, I've never seen that on a Jag. I did see a TWO DOOR XJ-6 once, BUTT, turns out it wasn't a "Jag", some other "division" of Jag sold under a different name.

Yeah Tenrocca, the only CR bits is the front suspension, and even then you will need to see the upper arms to make sure they are the straight type.

Hi Ernie,

There's no shortage of local Jaguars here as well as UK and Hong Kong imports.

There was an XJ6 2 door. I've seen a few of them over here. They are a nice looking car and I wouldn't mind one myself. The V12 version would be even better.

Cheers

I think they look great as a two door! V-12 is the only way to go, the 6 really lacked power.

Purist here, I've had several XJS V-12's and never considered replacing the motor with anything else (couldn't bring myself to say the "C" word). :D
