OT - Thans for Australian Super Cars
While American racing is mostly closed down for the winter, Speed Channel is showing racing from other places including the Australian Super Car series. I don't know who else to thank, so I'll say thanks to you guys in the Australian Cobra Club for the great racing. The Australian Super Cars are great fun to watch, even before the kagaroos start crossing the track during the race. What a a challenge it must be to try and dodge a kangaroo in a car going 200 KPH under full throttle. Thanks guys.

Funny you should mention the Australian Super Car Series and roos because I happen to be watching it yesterday and a Holden (Chevy I think) hammered one that hopped out on the track. I didn't catch how fast the car was going, but it dang near totaled the car and whacked that roo about 75 feet! Where else can you tune in during the Northern Hemisphere winter and see exciting racing like that! Bravo, Speed Channel!

They are ****e. My mates call them V8 SuperTaxis. Its designed to appeal to the bogans in Oz.....
Its a WOFTAM really. They drop the Holden front suspension, and do all sorts of things to make a more generic vehicle yet the clueless bogans still have their Ford VS Holden (GMH) trip with which they can get into assaulting one another over. Back in the day when there was real competition from other makes and less generic parts it was a far more interesting series. |
