throttle bodies

Hey All
I had a great time at The All Ford day at Geelong. It was great to catch up.

I was wondering if anyone could help me!!!!! I just bolted on a Edelbrock 70mm throttle body and cant get a smooth take off like a normal car, l struggle to feel the pedel causing me to rev the car like mad when l've stopped. I have put on a extra spring but if feels like l have no control between 1000 to 2500 rpm... Please help as my car is drivin nice but take off is hard

Confused

Alvin Is the MAF sensor calibrated to the throttle body you just put in your car? Is the ECU recalibrated to these changes also so?I would tell you to go to the smallblock ford racer bunch and get the info you need from them. I know that from my brothers problems with his car, cam, throttlebody size,Maf sensor, injectors all had to get a special calibration for his car to run right. This was before he put the supercharger on the car. My 2 cents. Rick Lake

Is your IAC hooked up and working? Though I would also lean towards a recalibration being needed. Is this a speed density system (no MAF)? If so, definite need to redo some of the programing. If it's a MAF, theoretically, a larger TB shouldn't have any effect...unless the MAF is choking the larger TB?

More details on your setup might help.
