Backfire through the carb...
 
Two hands up if you've ever had a carb backfire so badly that you'd swear it was going to blow the bodywork off the car?

Seriously though - I came across this photo. What an amazing shot, and what a scary incident !!!

So THAT'S why they started making dashboards out of softer material... so it wouln't hurt so bad when it comes flailing at you !
